On January 20, 2020 authorities of the Regional Executive Committee and a great number of heads of organisations and enterprises gathered together in Vitebsk to discuss the region’s industrial estates. As part of the meeting, there was an exhibition of scientific and technical achievements of educational institutions.
Polotsk State University demonstrated its developments in the field of petrochemistry and oil refining, construction materials and information technology.
The University was represented by Tatiana Goncharova, Head of the Scientific Research Department, P. Grishin, a lecturer at the Department of Technology and Equipment of Oil and Gas Processing, A. Lukyanov, a senior lecturer at the Department of Computer Systems and Networks, Irina Lazovskaya, an assistant lecturer at the Department of Construction Industry.
New construction materials such as sulfur concrete, sulfur asphalt concrete, plant-based petroleum sorbent, anti-freeze agent for solid carbonaceous materials, as well as the project “Digital Representation of Information about Lakes for Fishing in Vitebsk Region” were of the most interest to both the authorities of the Regional Executive Committee and industry representatives.
