On November 10, 2017 the solemn opening of the Centre for Chinese language, that was created for the development of the cooperation between Belarus and China, enhancing friendship and mutual understanding.
The event evoked a wide respond. On November 12 the first tourist group came from Vitebsk to Polotsk State University to visit the Centre. The guests together with Tourist centre staff were greeted by Dzhan Sukhan (student at Law Faculty), a Chinese citizen.
The participants of the event had an opportunity to talk to the native speaker, get acquainted with Chinese culture and also write one of the Chinese hieroglyphs. The first excursion to the Centre for Chinese language and culture ended up with a photoshoot and a song in Chinese.
The opening of such a Centre at Polotsk State University will definitely attract more visitors, who traditionally tend to have a conversation with our Wise Old Man. Now all the guests have a great chance to get acquainted with the rich heritage of one more great representative from the antiquity – Confucius, and have a look at the history and culture of China.
