This year Polotsk State University has taken part in the annual European project «The Nordic Library Week» for the second time. The goal of this project is to spread Nordic literature among European readers. This year the theme of the Nordic library week, that took place on November 13-19, was «Islands in the Nordics».
The fourth- and fifth-year students studying Romance and Germanic Philology at the Faculty of Humanities read the children’s book «Treasure island» written by Mauri Kunnas from Finland. In a cosy atmosphere they read Swedish and Belarusian translations of the book that was a good language practice of Swedish and Belarusian.
