On October 26-27, 2017 the international scientific and practical conference «The Strategy of Development of Economy of Belarus: challenges, tools and prospects» was held at the Institute of Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus within the project of the International Scientific Congress «Science – to the knowledge based economy».
The conference was organized by the Institute of Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. One of the main topics of the conference was legal enforcement of economic development of Belarus. Polotsk State University was represented by the academic staff of the Faculty of Law at PSU – Vladimir A. Bogonenko (Associate Professor, PhD in Law), Kristina D. Savitskaya (Senior teacher), Vitali V. Maksimenok (Senior teacher).
The plenary session was opened by Vladimir G. Gusakov (The chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences) who underlined the significance of the conference and its topics, the necessity of scientific results.
Sergey S. Sidorsky (Member of the Board (Minister) in charge of Industry and Agroindustrial Complex of the Eurasian Economic Commission) described the innovations as a significant factor for stable development of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
Among the participants of the conference there were a lot of respected researchers, such as Grigory Vasilevich (Professor, Doctor of Science (Law), Head of the Department of Constitutional Law of the Belarusian State University), Alexander Stratan (Professor, Doctor of Science (Economics), Director of the National Institute for Economic Research in Moldova), Ludmila Nekhorosheva (Professor, Doctor of Science (Economics), Head of the Department of Economics of Industrial Enterprises of the Belarusian State Economic University).
A lot of interesting and very relevant reports were presented within the framework of the section Legal Enforcement of Economic Development of Belarus.
The conference gave a great opportunity to discuss legal aspects in the field of power engineering, taxation, antimonopoly regulation, tourism and others.
