On September 10, master's students majoring in Literary Studies from Termez State University, accompanied by their supervisor Ozoda Khuzhanova, arrived at Euphrosyne Polotskaya State University of Polotsk to begin their studies.

This visit for the international master's students is part of the successful "1+1" joint educational programme. This long-term partnership has been opening new horizons for young researchers for several years now, allowing them to immerse themselves more deeply in the research environment and explore the rich cultural and historical heritage of the Polotsk Region.
The official part of the visit began with meetings with the leadership of the Faculty of Humanities, the Department of World Literature and Foreign Languages, and the Head of the International Relations Department, Olga Zhuravskaya. The parties discussed international experience in developing joint educational programmes.
Tour of the Polotsk Collegium
The international master's students actively joined the educational process, attending classes in a wide range of specialized literary studies disciplines. The young researchers also explored methodological nuances during a practical session on teaching Russian as a foreign language, conducted by Associate Professor Natalia Nester.
In turn, Ozoda Khuzhanova, Head of the Department of Russian Literary Studies at Termez State University, delivered an open lecture to PSU students majoring in Romano-Germanic Philology and Modern Foreign Languages. Her lecture was titled "Eastern Exoticisms in the Monuments of Russian Administrative Writing of the 16th – 18th Centuries".
The guests from Uzbekistan took a detailed look at the educational process and infrastructure of Polotsk University. They visited the Center for Russian Language, History, and Culture, the Scientific Library, and also explored the unique book collection of Professor A.A. Gugnin's personal library.
Tour of the Polotsk Collegium
The excursion programme was equally rich. The introduction to the region began with an organ music concert at the famous Saint Sophia Cathedral in Polotsk. The master's students took a walk along the historic Nizhne-Pokrovskaya Street and visited the historic Polotsk Collegium. Their future plans include visiting the Museum of Science and Enlightenment of the Polotsk Region and the Museum of History and Culture of Novopolotsk.
Ozoda Khuzhanova, Head of the Department of Russian Literary Studies at Termez State University, shared her thoughts: "Our joint educational programme has been running for four years now. However, this is my first time visiting Belarus as a supervisor to accompany our master's students.
As for my impressions – the city and the university are simply wonderful. I am confident that the programme will continue to develop successfully, as we keep receiving a large number of applicants for this major. I believe it is highly relevant for both our countries. We are actively building contacts in the field of education; for example, just the other day, the leadership of the Surkhandarya Region met with representatives of the Ministry of Education of Belarus. We plan to continue our cooperation specifically with Polotsk University.
Today we were given a short tour, and we were absolutely delighted. I hope this will inspire our master's students not only to successfully complete the programme but also to continue their research activities. I am sure that the rich collection of your library will help them make their own scientific discoveries."
