On October 10-12, 2018 the V Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia was held in Mogilev. Council of the Republic National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation were the organizers of the event. Full Professor Dmitry Lazovsky, Rector of Polotsk State University, Doctor of Engineering participated in the event.
One of the main points in the busy program of the forum was the section “Social and Civic Activity of the Youth of Belarus and Russia: Traditions and Innovations”. Within the framework of the section, a number of agreements between Belarusian and Russian educational establishments were signed. Our University participated in the process of strengthening bilateral relationships with Russian universities: a cooperation agreement with Pskov State University was signed.
The agreement signed by D. Lazovsky and Sergey Verteshev, Doctor of Engineering, President of Pskov State University is aimed at developing the educational and research opportunities of students and academic staff of the Universities.
The agreement is focused on the following spheres:
- Exchange of information needed for educational process and scientific research activities;
- Joint organization of meetings, symposia, seminars, conferences and other events;
- The implementation of joint academic and research projects;
- Assistance in the publication of the results of scientific research and joint projects in periodicals;
- Joint development and implementation of educational programs in cooperation with international or foreign organizations;
- Joint research management;
- Supporting academic mobility of students and staff.
