On November, 2016 the delegation from Daugavpils (Latvia) visited Polotsk State University.
The Latvian guests had a possibility to get acquainted with Polotsk State University and discuss the peculiarities of cooperation in the sphere of education and science with university administration.
After the meeting with PSU administration the members of the delegation from Daugavpils had an excursion around university campuses and then talked to the deans of Civil Engineering Faculty, Faculty of Engineering Technology, Faculty of Physical Training Education, Faculty of Machine Building and Automobiles and evaluated the material base of these departments.
Our guests shared their impressions and spoke about the possible perspectives between Daugavpils and Polotsk State University.
Valery Kononov: «I represent The State Employment Agency of Daugavpils and Ilukste city. First of all, I’m very thankful for the possibility to visit your university and meet very interesting people.
The main aim for our first visit here, on my point of view, is to get the necessary information. For some concrete results we have to organize very serious preparatory work. We need to understand how the resources of PSU can correlate with the possibilities of our educational market.
Marina Isupova: «I see the opportunity of the cooperation between Daugavpils Construction Technical School, Daugavpils University and Polotsk State University. There is also many possibilities for law students of our universities. I think our students would be very interested in methods and principles of work of Law Faculty of PSU. The university base, technical and academic, is on the high level».
We’ll search for the opportunities of the cooperation and student exchange. The only problem is that we work in different systems. But the collaboration in the sphere of education can be very productive. I think that after our visit to PSU the representatives of Daugavpils Construction Technical College, Daugavpils University will come here as well».
