On December 18, 2014, the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Belarus Oleg Slizhevsky visited Polotsk State University. As part of a business trip, the Minister of Justice examined educational and methodical base and achievements of Law Faculty and held a meeting with lecturers and students.

The meeting was also attended by the Assistant of the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Belarus Alexey Klimovich, the Deputy Chairman of Novopolotsk City Executive Committee Oleg Buevich, the Head of justice department of the Vitebsk Region Executive Committee Sergey Konopelko, the First Pro-rector Vasily Bulakh, and the Dean of Law Faculty Irina Vegera.


The Minister of Justice told the audience about the main activities of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus, about the most important drafts of laws and regulations, discussed the issues of reforming the notary and creation of a system of compulsory execution. Lecturers and students were able to ask questions relating to the activities of the Ministry.


Certificates of honor signed by the Minister of Justice for making personal contribution to the organization of training of higher education in the specialty “Jurisprudence” were awarded Candidate of Juridical Sciences, Associate Professor, the Head of the Department of Civil Law Vladimir Bogonenko and Candidate of Juridical Sciences, Associate Professor at the Department of Theory and History of State and Law Dmitry Scherbik.
