On October 13, 2017 a webinar for students studying at the Faculty of Finance and Economics was held with Vice-President of the European Federation of UNESCO Clubs, Centres and Associations Dmitry Subtselny, Secretary General of Belarusian UNESCO Clubs, Centres and Associations Natalia Pristrom and financial assistant Vasily Demidchik.
The webinar was initiated and organized by the Department of Finance and industrial economics, in particular, Svetlana Kostyukova (Head of the Department) and Oksana Koshulko (Associate Professor at Finance and Industrial Economics Department).
UNESCO is a specialized agency of the Unites Nations (UN) that is purposed to contribute to the building of peace, the eradication of poverty, sustainable development and intercultural dialogue through education, culture, communication, science and information.
World Federation of UNESCO Clubs, Centres and Associations in the Republic of Belarus carries out the promotion and development of international youth projects to support everyone who wants «to change the world for the better». The cooperation with UNESCO is an effective education resource which provides additional opportunities in the field of education and international development for young people in the Republic of Belarus. That was the main topic of the discussion in the webinar.
The students got to know about new possibilities in the field of international development, in particular, about those prospects, that Erasmus+ Programme offers, and other interesting UNESCO projects.
For further cooperation with the Republican Public Organization «Belarusian Association of UNESCO Club» the department of Finance and Industrial Economics is going to invite Dmitry Sutselny to Polotsk State University to carry out seminars for students of all Faculties and tell them about new opportunities and directions of international development.
