On November 18-21, 2019 Associate Professor of the Department of Technology and Equipment of Oil and Gas Processing Yulia Bulavka took part in the XI International Youth Scientific and Practical Congress “Oil and Gas Horizons”, hosted by Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (National Research University). More than 100 participants representing 22 universities from 15 countries participated in the Congress.
As part of the “Oil and Gas Horizons” Congress, the experts gave technical lectures on transformation in oil and gas industry. Among the speakers were:
- Mervin Frumau, Chief Geologist of “Salym Petroleum Development N.V.”,
- Victoria Fedorova, Assistant of the Department of Strategic Management of the Fuel and Energy Complex,
- Alexey Fadeev, Offshore Projects Promotion Program Manager, LLP “Gazpromneft-Sakhalin”.
This year technical sessions are as follows:
- Geosciences;
- Drilling and Completion;
- Oil and Gas Field Development;
- Oil and Gas Logistics, Transportation and Storage;
- Health, Safety and Environment;
- Oil and Gas Chemistry;
- Oil and Gas Economics and Management;
- “Smart” Technologies.
Yulia Bulavka presented her report “Obtaining of Bituminous Materials Based on Acid Tar Waste” on the section “PhD Downstream”. She was given a 3rd Place Award Certificate.
As a part of the Congress, PetroOlympic Games that is an intellectual game was held as well. According to the results of the game, Yulia Bulavka took the 2nd place as a member of «PetroGangsters» international team.
