Every December PSU takes part in the International Students’ Scientific Forum “Students’ Scientific Winter in Brest”. The year of 2018 has been no exception.
This year PSU was represented by the lecturers and students of the Faculty of Finance and Economics. Among them were Inna Sapego and Sergey Boslovyak, PhDs in Economics and Associate Professors at the Department of Business Accounting and Finance, Logistics and Management, and the students Dina Vasilevich, Yelizaveta Vertinskaya, Yekaterina Lilina, Aleksandra Ignatyeva, Angelina Medeved and Tatiana Poltorak.
The Forum started with the International Online Olympiad for students specializing in ‘Business Accounting, Analysis and Audit’ and ‘Finance and Credit’, which was the most difficult part. A good level of training, wide background knowledge and concentration skills let our team win the following awards:
- The 1st Degree Diploma in Business Accounting;
- The 2nd Degree Diploma in Finance and Credit.
After that the students participated in the online conference “Digital Economy: Tendencies and Perspectives”. The papers presented by the PSU team were highly appreciated by jury members, who noted their great scientific value. According to the results of the conference, the PSU representatives have taken the following places:
- The 2nd Degree Diploma was given to “Waste Products: Essential Nature and their Role in Business Accounting” (author – Yelizaveta Vertinskaya, supervisor Marina Primakova, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor);
- The 3rd Degree Diploma was given to “Formation of Operating Profit when Using Direct and Absorption Costing Methods” (author – Yekaterina Lilina, supervisor Marina Primakova, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor);
According to the results of the XII International Students’ Scientific Forum “Students’ Scientific Winter in Brest 2018” in an intellectual contest for undergraduates and graduates from universities of the Republic of Belarus, Ukraine, Russia and the Republic of Kazakhstan PSU team has taken the 2nd degree diploma!
