About the conference
III International Scientific Conference "Gugnin Readings"
Dear colleagues, we invite you to take part in the III International Scientific Conference "Gugnin Readings" dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the birth of Professor Alexander Gugnin – scholar, translator, poet, founder of the historical-contextual approach and holder of the Order of Francis Skaryna.
For many years, the Department of World Literature and Foreign Languages has been hosting international conferences on current issues in literary studies, as well as related fields such as cultural studies, linguistic theory, and history. This conference seeks to uphold the academic traditions established at Polotsk University and to further develop the methodological approaches introduced by Professor Alexander Gugnin.

Conference format
The conference will be held both in-person and online. Detailed instructions for connecting online will be provided to participants once their applications are approved.
The Organizing Committee is responsible for selecting reports to be included in the program and for publication. The editorial board reserves the right to make edits and abridgments to article texts for publication, ensuring that the main content remains intact.
Conference working languages – Belarusian, Russian, English.
