Galina Sharoglazova
PhD in Engineering, Associate Professor of the Department of Geodesy and Geoinformation Systems

Biography

She graduated from Siberian State University of Geosystems and Technologies specializing in Geodetic Astronomy. She was a post-graduate student at Central Scientific-Research Institute for Geodesy, Aerial Photography and Cartography (Moscow) specializing in Geodesy. She defended her PhD thesis “The study of horizontal deformations of the earth's surface on the Kamchatka Peninsula by repeated geodetic measurements”.
After graduating from the Institute she worked for “Far Eastern Aerogeodetic Enterprise” (Russia) as an engineer in the field expedition and at the information and computing department. Then she worked as a geodynamic field technologist in experimental research laboratories.
1988 – 1989 – a higher geodesy consultant in the Republic of Cuba.

Since 1991 she has worked at Polotsk State University.
