Zoya Tretyak graduated from Polotsk State University with a degree in "English Language and Belarusian Language and Literature." Currently she teaches English as the primary foreign language for fourth-year students. She is the author of a comprehensive teaching and methodological complex focused on the practical grammar of the English language.

Delivers lectures on the following disciplines:

• History of the English Language
• History of English Literature of the 17th Century
• History of Literature in Great Britain and the USA in the First and Second Half of the 20th Century
• World Art of Words in the Belarusian Literary Reception of the 20th–21st Centuries

Zoya Tretyak has created various methodological complexes for the courses offered.

In 2008, she obtained a Master's degree in World Literature, with a focus on American literature, and successfully defended her thesis on "The Main Principles of War Representation in the Works of E. Hemingway and V. Bykov." In 2014, she completed her candidate dissertation, examining the writings of E. Hemingway and M. Haretzky, titled "Fictional Representation of World War I in E. Hemingway's and M. Haretsky's Writings: the General and the Peculiar." Since 2016, she has been pursuing a doctoral program at Belarusian State University. In 2022, she defended her doctoral dissertation on "Belarusian and American Prose about the First World War: Structural and Dominant Motive Levels."
