Teaching activities

She has been an anthropology professor and researcher at Polotsk State University since 1997. From 2015 until 2018, she headed up the Department of History and Tourism. She teaches courses in biological and sociocultural anthropology::

Scientific interests

She successfully defended her PhD dissertation in "Anthropology".
The study of human skeletal remains from prehistoric burials is the main focus of her research. At Polotsk State University, she has created an osteological collection in partnership with regional archaeologists that contains artifacts pertaining to the 11th through 18th century inhabitants of Polotsk and the surrounding area.Her research looks at paleodemography, skeletal markers of stress, and the anthropological traits of ancient populations.
She oversees postgraduate students' academic projects with a focus on "Anthropology."

International Experience

  • In 1998, she completed an internship at Manchester Metropolitan University in the United Kingdom as part of the project "Management Systems for Master's Degree Programmes."
  • In 2000, 2003, and 2005, she undertook research internships at the Institute of Anthropology at Adam Mickevich University in Poland.
  • She initiated collaboration with the N.N. Miklukho-Maklai Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, as well as with the Institute of Archaeology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
  • In 2019, she delivered lectures at the Faculty of History at the University of Tübingen, Germany, as part of an academic exchange programme ERASMUS+.

Free time

Since her student days she has studied the authentic song tradition of the Belarusians. She is one of the founders and a participant of the folklore group "GUDA" (Minsk).She has been conducting vocal master classes in traditional Belarusian singing in Poland and Belarus for more than 10 years.
She is the Head of the student folklore group “Vargan”.
