The graduate of Polotsk State University (Geodesy, 2016) Raman Yashchanka has won gold and bronze medals in the XII Paralympic Winter Games in PyeongChang! Raman, as a sighted guide, helped Sviatlana Sakhanenka (Novopolotsk, Belarus) to win the gold medal in the Women's 15 km Free Race (Visually impaired) in cross country skiing and the bronze medal in the Women’s 6 km Biathlon.
The medals won by our athletes can be an example of great love to cross country skiing and great willingness to achieving goals. At Polotsk State University Raman Yashchanka was engaged in athletics, cross country skiing. But Raman was more interested in winter sport. It helped him to make his childish dreams come true and become a professional successful sportsman. Congratulations!
