A lot of international students of PSU want to learn more about the country and the town where they study. This time, thanks to the Department of Educational Work the students visited Nature and Ecology Museum in Polotsk.
Nature and Ecology Museum in Polotsk is one of the best nature museums in Belarus along with the museums in Belovezhskaya Pushcha and Berezinsky Reserve. The museum is located in the building of a former water tower built in 1953. The exhibits of Nature and Ecology Museum allow the visitors to look into different worlds of Belarusian nature and ecology.
Traveling up the spiral staircase, the students from Turkmenistan looked at exhibits that showed all the uniqueness and diversity of nature in Belarus. Senior Researcher Andrey Klyuchnikov, a graduate of the Faculty of Humanities at PSU, gave the students a tour around the museum.
Aybolek Geldiyeva: “I walked on the transparent floor that symbolized the ecological disaster. I saw the whole Polotsk from the viewing platform. It was wonderful”.
Maysa Agajumayeva: “It was very interesting and entertaining. The tour left a lot of positive feelings and emotions”.
Pena Bashimov: “I find taxidermied animals fantastic! They look as if they are still alive. It’s very interesting! Such exciting tours should be conducted as often as possible”.
