On April 5, 2017, the official signing of the Cooperation Agreement was carried out between Professional Education Competence Centre of «Daugavpils Construction Technical School» and the educational establishment «Polotsk State University» within the seminar «Latvia – Belarus – partnership aimed at the development and sharing experience in the field of professional education and teaching of civil engineering, machine and road building».
The Cooperation Agreement was signed by the pro-rector of education of Polotsk State University Denis Duk and the director of Professional Education Competence Centre of «Daugavpils Construction Technical School» Inara Ostrovska.
The document provides scientific researches, joint textbooks, broadening of academic mobility, realization of projects funded by the European Union.
The delegation of Polotsk State University got acquainted with technical state of the School, content of educational programmes, material and technical resources.
Denis Duk pointed out that the Technical School has modern technical and material resources for preparation of highly skilled specialists for construction, metal-working fields of economy of Latvia and the European Union.
During the seminar the academic staff of the Technical School acquainted the delegation of Polotsk State University with regulations, education and methodic base, shared its experience, achievements and future plans. The professional talk was supported by the dean of Civil Engineering Faculty Alexander Bakatovich, dean of Machine-Building and Automobiles Faculty Alexander Dudan and coordinator of international projects Alexander Andrievsky. Both sides discussed the interaction and joint work, perspective plans of cooperation.
The partners are going to hold full-time and distant seminars, master-classes, student exchanges for using innovation technologies. The Cooperation Agreement for students of Daugavpils Construction Technical School gives an opportunity to get a higher education, for students of Polotsk State University – engineering experience on a base of the Technical School.
The academic staff of the university offered help in teaching and joint developments of education and methodic materials and tools for competence increasing of students and teachers of the Technical school.
Both sides discussed new directions of interaction: participation of the university representatives in projects of the cross-border cooperation programme «Latvia-Lithuania-Belarus».
The partners are persuaded that the cooperation in the field of professional and higher education will ensure the preparation of highly skilled specialists and give positive results in the development at the international level.
