Promoting inclusive education is one of the university development directions all over the world. On March 29, PSU held an online workshop “Promoting Inclusive Education in Higher Educational Institutions: Achievements, Problems and Perspectives”.
Teachers and students from Belarus, Ukraine, Spain and Moldova took an active part in the online conference. PSU was represented by the students of the Faculty of Humanities, Head of the Department of Physical Training and Sports Elena Borun and senior lecturer Elena Minyonok.
The workshop was aimed at exchanging research and practical experience in the main issues concerning the inclusive education promotion in higher education. E. Minyonok gave her presentation on training of specialists in children’s physical education in the context of the inclusive education. She noticed: “We have a unique opportunity to exchange our research results, creative ideas and invaluable experience with our colleagues. This will help to introduce inclusive education in HEIs more effectively”.
Students of the Faculty of Humanities have already made friends with the representatives of correction-and development-training and rehabilitation centre in Novopolotsk. They prepared and conducted the sports festival “Factory of Health”, participated in the event “Sunny Children” (children with Down syndrome) and now are preparing for master-classes.
The workshop participants discussed the topic in a friendly and informal atmosphere. We thank our foreign partners from Moldova, Ukraine and Spain, as well as the organizers of the event, teachers and students. We wish them further creative success and fruitful work in this field in the future!
