From September 15 to 17, the annual republican touristic gathering of students of the Republican Universiade 2022 was held in the village Zhornovka, Minsk region. For three days, students from 19 universities of the country competed in a wide variety of sports, touristic and competitive programmes.
PSU students
The sports and touristic programme included competitions in orienteering, mountain-hiking, water and cycling tourism, where our students took 8th place in the overall standings.
The competition programme was no less intense. It included contests of touristic life, team performances, touristic songs and newspapers. The talent, artistry and creativity of our students won the hearts of the judges. As a result, PSU students became winners in the competition of presenting teams and touristic life, and also took second place in the competition of touristic songs and newspapers. Thus, according to the sum of all types of the competitive programme, our university took 1st place.
According to the results of all types of programmes of the republican touristic gathering of students, the team of Euphrosyne Polotskaya State University of Polotsk took 4th team place. Having received a positive charge and a good mood from competitions and communication with other students, the participants returned home with a great desire to train even more. So next year they would return and compete for victory with the leading universities of our country and declare themselves even louder.
We wish the team the fulfillment of their sporting desires! As well as victories at the upcoming touristic gathering in the programme of the year-round Spartakiad of physical training and sports collectives of enterprises, organizations and educational institutions of Novopolotsk, which will be held from September 23 to 25.
