E. Mayorova, a Master student studying Chemical technology of fuels and high-energy substances, and D. Yukhno, a student at the Faculty of Mechanics and Technology, took part in the scientific and research papers competition for students «Technosphere safety and environment protection», that was held at Saratov State Technical University.
Ekaterina Mayorova presented her paper on «Oil sorbents based on products of agricultural complex for emergency oil and oil products spills» (supervisors: Sergey Yakubovsky, PhD on Chemical Engineering, Associate Professor at the Department of Technology and Equipment of Oil and Gas Processing, Yuliya Bulavka, PhD in Engineering, Associate Professor at the Department of Technology and Equipment of Oil and Gas Processing).
Dmitry Yukhno presented his research work on «Decrease of human element influence in providing industrial safety of oil refining enterprises through implementation of automated system for assessment of operators’ professional competence» (supervisor: Yuliya Bulavka, PhD in Engineering, Associate Professor at the Department of Technology and Equipment of Oil and Gas Processing).
Both research papers have been selected by the commission of experts for participating in the second round as best research works. During the online-webinar, that was held on March 23, 2018 between Polotsk State University and Saratov State Technical University, the defence of research works was carried out.
According to the decision of the expert commission and the results of the scientific and research papers competition for students «Technosphere safety and environment protection», our young researchers at PSU have been awarded Diplomas of the 1st degree.
