The cooperation between Polotsk State University and the UserGate company

The company has an educational division called "UserGate Academy", which was specifically established to conduct training and certification programmes for both practicing professionals and young specialists in the field of information security. The agreement on a strategic partnership in cybersecurity education was signed by Margarita Zaitseva, Director of UserGate Academy, and Yury Ramanouski, Rector of Polotsk State University.

As part of the collaboration, UserGate Academy will provide the university with all necessary educational materials, including text, audio, and video resources, as well as training software. These materials will aid in training for the administration, operation, and technical maintenance of software and software-hardware systems for information protection. Furthermore, the Academy will provide licenses for conducting educational activities and practical classes on UserGate solutions, along with consulting support for the teaching staff.

Educational materials and licenses for conducting educational activities are not UserGate's only contribution. The company will also provide the university with access to its competencies and expertise in the field of information security.UserGate Academy's educational courses can be used to train teaching staff. An additional motivational incentive for students will be the opportunity to receive a specialist certificate in UserGate products and technologies immediately upon graduation, alongside their university diploma. Furthermore, top-performing students will have the chance to complete an internship with the vendor and its partner companies.

UserGate representatives familiarized themselves with the educational and laboratory facilities of Euphrosyne Polotskaya State University of Polotsk used for training engineering personnel. The honored guests visited the laboratories of the Competence Center in Construction and Utility Networks and also examined the capabilities of the Cryptographic Engineering Laboratory and the Cybersecurity and Information Protection Laboratory.

During their visit to the university, UserGate Academy representatives held a master class for students majoring in Computer Security and Cybersecurity. The students took on the role of system administrators and were given a task that involved practical aspects of configuring and protecting network infrastructure.

Third-year Cybersecurity student Dmitry Yankovsky completed the task more successfully than all other participants.

Second place was secured by fourth-year Computer Security student Alexey Sych, and third place was won by third-year Cybersecurity student Fyodor Tsybulsky. The tournament winners received valuable prizes from UserGate.
