On November 23-25, 2018, the judo competitions within the framework of the Republican Universiade were held in the Republican Olympic Training Centre. 22 women’s and 26 men’s teams from Belarusian higher educational establishments took part in it.
It is not surprising that the team composition changes. However, our freshmen bring no less medals home. This time our sportsmen demonstrated high level of physical fitness and received two bronze medals in individual competitions.
Nikita Lipatov, a senior student at the Faculty of Radio Engineering, won a bronze medal in the weight category up to 73 kg. Besides, it wasn’t the first medal in his collection.
Anton Lyashuk, a freshman at the Faculty of Mechanics and Technology, won one more bronze medal. He competed in the weight category up to 60kg. This medal is the proof of his great prospects and potential.
Vladimir Pankratyev, senior lecturer at the Department of Physical Training and Sports, trained the team for the competition.
