The delegation included Murozhon Ulugbekovich Djuraev, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, and Gairat Rashidovich Bozorov, Professor of the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering and Chemical Technology.

The goal of the meeting was to review the results of our current cooperation and plan new directions for our academic partnership. The two universities share a strong relationship, which has already made it possible to successfully run joint educational programmes in high-demand engineering and economics fields.

Specifically, the Faculty of Mechanic and Technology offers programmes in "Innovative Technologies in Mechanical Engineering" and "Occupational Safety and Ergonomics" (with a specialization in " Safety Management of Production Processes").

The Faculty of Information Technologies offers degrees in "Computer Science and Programming Technologies" and "Geodesy". Meanwhile, the Faculty of Finance and Economics trains specialists in "Economics" (with a specialization in "Analytical Economics and Economic Policy").

Professor Gairat Rashidovich Bozorov of Bukhara State Technical University shared the goals of the visit and the priorities for training engineers in the oil, gas, and chemical sectors:

“Our university trains specialists for the oil, gas, and chemical industry. Polotsk State University, on the other hand, has a long history and rich experience, including close ties with Naftan. We are very glad that we built a strong partnership a few years ago. This allows experts from our countries to actively share knowledge and experience.

Speaking about the specific goals of my visit, I want to highlight three key areas: strengthening cooperation in training specialists for the high-tech oil and gas industry, power engineering, and IT; developing and launching new joint educational programmes; and organizing student exchange internships. Gas and petrochemical plants, along with gas and oil refineries, are operating successfully in our country. Right now, we are actively expanding the range of products we produce”.
