The webinar on «The impact of globalization to management in modern era: Azerbaijan and Belarus experiences» in the English language was held at Polotsk State University together with Azerbaijan University of Tourism and Management on November 13, 2017. The initiator from the Azerbaijan side was Dr. Agil Valiyev, the lecturer of Azerbaijan University of Tourism and Management. The organizer of this webinar at our university was Elena Maley, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor at the Department of Business Accounting and Audit, Logistics and Management.

The Rector of Azerbaijan University of Tourism and Management Ilham Madatov was the first who greeted the participants of the webinar. He has also emphasized that sincerely envies modern students who have so many technological opportunities for live communication and knowledge sharing!

The PSU side was represented by the Vice-Rector for Education, Associate Professor Yury Golubev. In the welcome speech he said a few words about our university and also highly assessed the contribution of the Faculty of Finance and Economics in its development. At the end of the speech, Yury Golubev said: «I hope that such events as this webinar will be successful and will also become a permanent practice». The vice-rector has also noted that we are looking forward to exchange experience in educational and scientific spheres, has wished all the participants good luck and also challenging, fruitful work!

Students of all the study programmes and courses at the Faculty of Finance and Economics took part in the webinar. Students of the Faculty Gulshar Razaeva (17-BA) and Denis Kibarooly (16-LG) prepared a small surprise and warmly greeted all the participants and guests in their native Azerbaijani language.

The right to open the webinar was given to the students from Azerbaijan. Their knowledge and scientific interests were shared by:

1. Sabina Gasymova (the first-year student) – «Introduction to globalization, its consequences, aspects of globalization, world experience in the field of globalization of markets»;

2. Nargiz Alimardanova (the first-year student) – «Management in Azerbaijan (the first period of independence), e-government in the modern governance system of Azerbaijan, the importance of e-government, ASAN (EASY) service in Azerbaijan, easy visa and other innovative activities»;

3. Nigar Faragullaeva (the second-year student) – «Globalization in Azerbaijan, WTO and Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan's main goals in WTO membership, positive and negative consequences of WTO for Azerbaijan, examples of globalization in Azerbaijan, MEGA events as one of the main aspects of Azerbaijan's globalization».

Marina Gaydova, a senior lecturer of the Department of Economics, Management and Economic Theory presented Polotsk State University and delivered a report «The Impact of Globalization on Management at the Present Time».

Students of the Faculty of Finance and Economics Vlada Anoshko (15- LG), Ekaterina Arsenzeva (17-LG), Elizaveta Dodonova (17- LG) under the supervision of PhD in Economics, Associate Professor Oleg Dodonov underlined the significance of the raised issue for the Republic of Belarus and presented the report «Ways and directions for increasing the competitiveness of the economy of the Republic of Belarus in the context of globalization».

The webinar was held in a friendly atmosphere; the reports were presented at a high level and provoked interest among the participants. The students had an excellent opportunity not only to exchange the experience of globalization influence on the management processes in the Republic of Belarus and Azerbaijan, but also to practice the English language in their professional field.
