Council of Young Scientists

The Council of Young Scientists of the Euphrosyne Polotskaya state university of Polotsk is a voluntary association of young scientists, serving as a permanently operating collegial advisory body for the university's young researchers.

The aim of the Council's activities is to increase the participation of young scientists in the development of the university's scientific potential, to overcome negative trends in the age structure of scientific personnel, to shape scientific policy, and to integrate science and education. It also focuses on fostering scientific communication among young researchers and supporting the professional development of investigators.

The tasks of the Council include:

• Promoting the professional growth of young scientists and the development of youth scientific initiatives, as well as the dissemination and implementation of research results;
• Coordinating the activities of young scientists from various university departments;
• Activating information exchange and collaboration among young scientists at the university and with young researchers from higher education institutions in the Republic of Belarus and other countries;
• Supporting and promoting promising projects by young scientists;
• Representing and defending the interests of young scientists at the university;
• Optimizing information support for young scientists regarding funds, grants (including rector's grants), competitions, conferences, and other scientific events aimed at supporting scientific youth;
• Organizing scientific conferences, forums, and round tables involving young scientists and highly qualified specialists;
• Summarizing and disseminating positive experiences in scientific work across various faculties and departments of the university, exploring new forms of work for young scientists, and developing recommendations for their practical implementation.

The Council coordinates the activities of young scientists in the following areas:

• Scientific Activity:
• Provides assistance to graduate students, master's students, doctoral candidates, applicants, and young specialists in organizing and conducting scientific research;
• Participates in organizing scientific conferences for young scientists;
• Establishes and maintains scientific connections with higher education institutions in the Republic of Belarus and leading research organizations both domestically and abroad.
• Informational and Publishing Activity:
• Facilitates the publication of works by young scientists in the proceedings of conferences, scientific forums, seminars, and schools for young scientists;
• Promotes the research activities of young scientists in the mass media.
• Organizational Activity:
• Represents the scientific, labour, and social interests of young scientists in the University Council and the staff trade union committee, as well as in various public and scientific organizations;
• Collaborates with university departments and officials responsible for organizing scientific work and international scientific cooperation;
• Organizes leisure activities and cultural events for the scientific youth of the university.
• Innovative Activity:
• Supports innovative and other projects initiated by young scientists at the university.
