Tourism Center
Tourism Center
One of the most important tasks of the Tourism Center is to enhance the prestige of Polotsk University by introducing visitors to its history and traditions. This vision is realized through the joint efforts of the university administration and various departments, resulting in unique projects such as the sculptures of a medieval student and professor, the Rector's Entrance, the musical clock with an academic procession, and the distinctive exhibition "Reconstruction of Gabriel Gruber's Project 'The Mechanical Head'".
To establish the Collegium as a major tourist attraction, the staff of the Tourism Center take part in key industry events every year, including meetings, seminars, and specialized exhibitions at both national and international levels. This active engagement helps them build valuable industry networks, which in turn leads to the monument's inclusion in the standard tour itineraries offered by travel agencies.
The systematic efforts to improve service quality and implement numerous initiatives have yielded strong operational results. Today, the university's tourism center collaborates with over 100 travel companies in Belarus and Russia.

"Belarusian Hogwarts"
Today, the Polotsk Collegium is one of the most important tourist attractions in the region. This high status is largely due to the long-term work of the Tourism Center of Euphrosyne Polotskaya State University of Polotsk. Since 2013, the Tourism Center has provided guided tour services and has continuously advanced in the field of tourism, contributing to the expansion of the historical and cultural context within the region's higher education sphere. In 2024, the number of visitors exceeded 20,000, reaching a total of 26,886 people, 9,637 of whom were foreigners.
The university's historic buildings draw interest beyond tourism, capturing regular attention from the media as well. The work of the university and its Tourism Center, deeply connected to the area's heritage, is often covered by leading international, national, and local press and TV networks. The Polotsk Collegium itself has been showcased as a central subject in numerous documentaries, news features, and travel series. With its distinctive atmosphere and wealth of historic sites, the former Jesuit Collegium complex has earned a reputation as an informal "university-museum".
