On April 22-25, 2019 the representatives of the Faculty of Mechanics and Technology - Associate Professor at the Department of Technology and Equipment of Oil and Gas Processing, PhD in Engineering Yulia Bulavka together with her 2 students – took an active part in the 73rd International Youth Scientific Conference “Oil and Gas 2019” that was held at Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (Moscow, Russia).
The conference was aimed at identifying and supporting junior researchers’ papers presented in fourteen thematic sections. This year, more than 2000 people have registered for the conference and around 700 people have given a presentation.
D. A. Rymarev gave a talk about the record of safety indicators when choosing reagents for chemical and technological processes of oil refining during the section “Current Problems of Providing Integrated Safety of Critical Infrastructures of Fuel and Energy Industry Facilities”.
T. I. Lebedeva gave a presentation in English on the topic “Obtaining Oil Road Bitumen Using Petrochemical Waste”, during the section “Research Papers Presentation in the English Language”. More than 120 papers were presented at the section № 11, and Tatyana Lebedeva was awarded a 3rd degree Diploma and given some gifts from oil and gas companies.
Yuliya Bulavka presented a report “Polimer-modifier for Producing Asphaltic Road Oil of the Fourth Generation” during the section “Chemical Engineering in Oil and Gas Industry”. Among more than 120 reports, Yulia Bulavka’s report was awarded a 3rd degree Diploma signed by Alexander Novak, the Secretary of State for Energy of the Russian Federation.
An informal meeting with the heads of line agencies and oil and gas companies was held within the framework of the conference. Besides, our representatives visited the following Innovation Centres of Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas:
- Field Production Management Centre;
- Land and Water Drilling of Wells Simulation Centre;
- Well Control Simulation Centre.
The Faculty of Mechanics and Technology representatives formed the psu-nafta.by team and took part in the III International Intellectual Game for Oil and Gas Industry Young Researchers “Oil&Gas Owl”.
