To improve the skills of young specialists and implement innovation technologies into the educational process, on November 1, 2018, the Republican Professional Excellence Competition “SERVICE MASTER JUNIOR” was held in Minsk. Besides, the conference for the lecturers and employees at educational establishments “Modern Remote Learning Systems and Specialist Training Methods” was provided there as well.
16 teams represented different educational institutions. Our team consisted of the students specializing in “Transport Engineering”:
- Pavel Volkov;
- Angelina Gushcha;
- Artyom Beytulayev;
- Svyatoslav Tanana.
Vitaly Kostritsky, a senior lecturer at the Department of Automobiles, and Aleksey Ivankovich, an engineer at the same Department, supervised the team.
A written test, consisting of questions in the field of diagnostics, maintenance and repair of automobiles was held as a part of competition.
Besides, the event organizers provided a workshop in diagnosis of passenger cars using modern equipment. Moreover, the international exhibition “Car Service Center. Mechanics. Car Components. Road Engineering” was provided as well.
The team of Polotsk State University scored 22 points and took the 3rd place together with other 5 teams that scored the same number of points, losing only 2 points to the winning team.
