About 4.5 million motor vehicles are registered in Belarus, which carry out more than 55% of cargo operation volumes with a tendency to increase them. Vehicle maintenance accounts for 95-98% of the costs for their entire life cycle. A car requires daily care and maintenance, timely repair and continuous diagnostics of its condition, which indicates the importance of training highly qualified specialists in the automotive profile.
A large number of motor transport enterprises (operational, maintenance and repair) cause a great need for various employees, both managers and specialists.
Skills and competencies
The functions of employees of motor transport enterprises are associated with the transportation of goods and passengers, intershift storage of cars, their maintenance, diagnosis and repair, which determines the acquisition of the following core competencies:
- Analysis of prospects and directions of development of the production and technical base and vehicle in general
- Application of basic scientific and theoretical knowledge to solve theoretical and practical problems of vehicle maintenance
- Development of technological processes for diagnostics, maintenance and repair of vehicles and their elements for specific conditions
- Сalculation and analysis of operating modes of road transport vehicles and structural units of transport organizations
- Compliance with the technology of vehicle maintenance and repair
- Carrying out tests of the condition of cars and their elements after repair
- Maintaining the necessary technological documentation Identification and analysis of the causes of failures and disrepair of aggregates, assemblies, parts of maintenance, diagnostics and repair of motor vehicles
- Conducting experimental and technological research during the creation and implementation of new equipment and technologies for the maintenance and repair of motor vehicles, their pilot industrial testing
